A man’s life dawns at daybreak, then returns to rest there, in the faint glow that pierces the dark night. In a cycle, it passes through the gold and dust of human experiences. The ragas of Indian music express the emotion, upheaval, joy, and beauty unique to each hour, each season of the soul and the world. To the sound of the sitar and khayal singing, they follow the journey described in the words of the great Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore, weaving a performance in which time deepens, searches for itself, and turns back toward its perpetual beginning.

The text is an adaptation by Cyril David based on excerpts from several works by Rabindranath Tagore:  "The Gardener of Love","The Lyric Offering",,"The Fugitive","The Wanderer", and the anthology "The Golden Boat". This poetic drama, inspired by the poet’s own life, depicts fundamental experiences with which we resonate—through our own lived experiences, aspirations, or archetypes: the quest for the absolute, the state of being in love, grief and pain, madness, hope, the enigma, and the beauty of life.
